Hot take I will not retract: MCP is a wrapper, and I still want it
Genuine question. If REST is good, why is MCP not just a different envelope. My agent can already call the API.

It is a wrapper. The wrapper is the point. Tool discovery, OAuth 2.1 plus PKCE, uniform interface. Brew and Klaviyo both do this. You stop writing glue.

Fine. Tool discovery I had not weighted. The agent not knowing the schema up front is the actual risk.
